Jerome was upset with Obama for not accessing the infrastructure of the netroots from the start of his campaign. He complimented Edwards for routing his online donations through ActBlue and has consistently complimented Hillary on the most minor nods to the netroots, while continually saying Obama isn't doing enough online. No doubt Mark Warner would have done exactly as Jerome wanted had he stayed in the race.
I think it's time we consider that Jerome Armstrong is either tacitly supporting or has been in high-level talks with the Clinton campaign about becoming their online avatar. He says Obama doesn't support the Democratic brand enough. How much was Hill supporting the brand at the DLC conference last year before the primary season made it impossible to attend.
How was Hillary supporting the Democratic brand by refusing to disavow the comments of James Carville and Paul Begala as they ran down the 50-state strategy of Dean's DNC leadership. And don't think for a minute that the first thing to go, should Hillary win the nomination and God-forbid the presidency, won't be the organizers Dean has sent to every state. We'll go back to the dark days of the Democratic Party as the Clintonite cult of personality. What else is possible, as no matter how much the Clinton campaign poo-poohs Obama as a 'rock star' candidate, the real Kool-Aid drinkers work for Hillary.
We who support and work for Barack do so because we believe in a larger purpose for him and ourselves and our country. The people who work for and support Hillary support her, full stop. Neither she nor they see anything past her deservingness due to past unfair treatment. Hillary may well be owed something; I'm just not sure it's the American people who owe her. And I'm not sure the country can take another 4-8 years of a self-perceived infallible President.
